Cassidy is an 11 year-old entrepreneur who recently appeared on the Season 11 Premiere of ABC’s Shark Tank. In the “Tank”, Cassidy pitched her invention for a fun and unique baby spoon called, The Baby Toon. The Baby Toon eliminates the hard and sharp design of a traditional baby spoon. Cassidy thought of this idea when she entered the Honolulu District Science Fair in first grade. She was asked to solve a problem and noticed that her baby sister would play with the back of her hard, plastic spoon. She didn’t want her sister to injure herself, so she created, The Baby Toon. After receiving positive feedback at the science fair, Cassidy embarked on a multi-year journey to see if she could take her idea from concept to reality. With help from many kind people, including her family and Collin Kobayashi of 3D Innovations, Cassidy was able to find a manufacturer, launch her website, and supply several local retailers, including SOHA Living, with her unique product. Her adventure culminated with her experience in the Tank. There, she was able to secure a deal with the “Queen of QVC”, Lori Greiner. When not appearing on Shark Tank, Cassidy enjoys being a fifth grader at Aina Haina Elementary, crafting and art, surfing, violin, hula and reading. Her current favorite book series is FableHaven.
